FKDL Review

FKDL

Franck Duval was born February the 2nd 1963 in Paris, where he still lives today. He began to paint in 1984 Franck’s work has changed during the time period, as now his work is becoming more modern, the work he had made before he uses block colors this might be because back then bright colours were not really rare, but recently Franck has been using a lot of bright eye catching colours this would be interesting for someone to look at whilst walking down the street.

Franck uses a lot of different materials that had been recycled such as newspapers, magazines, flyers and posters he then collages with these materials and then edits them with paint and spray paint. Franck’s work is very different compared to any other artist; he has his own unique way of putting up his.

For example in every piece of art he does he uses different materials and techniques for the same piece, when you look at Franck’s work it isn’t quite clear what he’s trying to do it’s sort of odd but at the same time I think this is good because a piece of Art won’t be as interesting it had been stated on this site. “He neglects neither the substance nor form, nor all the details and certainly not because he likes all that is hidden and does not reveal itself at first sight”. http://artbattles.com/artists/fkdl

I personally think Franck’s work is very interesting, I like the way he uses vintage newspapers and magazines in his wok and then has this bright block colour as a background, the colours he uses all match and make a really nice combination.
